*Long-term *



*MUST Skill- Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Apache or SOLR for indexing, NOSQL, Spark,
elastic Search*

*Job Description*

· *Architect and Build Big Data Platform using Hadoop and Vertica
echo system*

· *Manage and grow the infrastructure of our large-scale Hadoop and
Vertica architecture and big data analytics environment*

· *Performing the day to day administrative tasks associated with
our Hadoop and Vertica clusters. Handling critical Issues.*

· *Assist in capacity planning and security implementation of the
big data systems*

· *Excellent experience in Fast streaming environment working with
heavy data building Real Time system. Should have worked on Revenue
Critical Projects.*

· *Architect and build data collectors and data fabric to collect
and transport data to the Hadoop echo system based Big Data Platform*

· *Build monitoring solution(s) for the Big Data infrastructure to
understand the health of the infrastructure*

· *Automate deployment and configuration management using open
source frameworks*

· *Performance tuning and best practices for Big Data platforms*

*Qualifications*

· *Hadoop and Vertica experience (8 years plus) and/or similar
technologies*

· *Knowledge and experience in Hadoop and Vertica – infrastructure,
configuration, installation and administration*

· *Experience in enterprise data & analytic disciplines such as
Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Data Management, Enterprise Data
Warehousing, Big Data Analytics including Hadoop and Vertica*

· *Experience in Solution Development Life Cycles, especially as it
applies to large-scale, complex data-centric programs and projects, from
business strategies and requirements data design, data sourcing, data
transformation, analytics design, development, testing, and implementation*

· *Knowledge in Querying and creating reports from Hadoop and Verica*

· *Experience in migrations from MSSQL to Big Data platforms*

· *Maintenance - backup and recovery*

· *Monitoring and Alerts on Big Data platforms*

· *Design, architect and implement new features for company needs*

· *Performance tuning and best practices*

· *More than 5 years in production environments with large scale*

· *Experience with Open Source Big Data technologies, including
Hadoop and Vertica (knowledgeable with Java)*
